The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD) has exams four times a year. February, May, August and November. Once candidate passes this exam, they will be Nationally and Internationally Certified for 5 years!
To keep certification up to date, after becoming certified you must complete continuing education courses over the years to stay active. The courses are affordable online, free at SPD tech assembly's and free at your place of employment!
To be able to take full advantage of this program, candidate must be 17 years of age or older, have a High School Diploma or G.E.D and must pass the Try Tec course with a 70% or higher in order to sit for the CBSPD board exam. Once class starts you will receive access to the study guide for this course. You can either get a hard copy shipped to you or e-mailed to you. You will also receive a welcome package that will consist of PPE gear, we will use this for learning how to properly apply and remove.

The Certified Sterile Processing is a fast-paced course. This is a 8-10week course and students are encouraged to read and study every week. Students must pass this course with a 70% or higher in order to be eligible to sit for the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) board. We have flexible dates so all students are able to have a fair chance to pass this course, even with a busy schedule.
Upon completion of this course at TRY TEC, you will receive a certificate of completion that you can showcase on your resume, Facebook or LinkedIn profile. This certificate allows student to sit for the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) board! Once student passes the CBSPD board, student will be NATIONALLY and INTERNATIONALLY CERTIFIED!
